Description

treeline roof tent Rubicon - Hitch Tent Rack SystemHitch Tent is a hitch mounted platform designed to boost the convenience, versatility, and comfort of a rooftop tent system. Remaining vertical during transport, Hitch Tent is quickly and easily deployed on almost any terrain thanks to the four fully adjustable legs and feet. With just under 12 inches of height adjustment, the Hitch Tent Standard Edition accommodates hitch receiver heights from 16. 5 28 inches, a range typical for trucks and SUV's.

Hitch Tent™ is a hitch-mounted platform designed to boost the convenience, versatility, and comfort of a rooftop tent system. Remaining vertical during transport, Hitch Tent™ is quickly and easily deployed on almost any terrain thanks to the four fully adjustable legs and feet. With just under 12 inches of height adjustment, the Hitch Tent Standard Edition accommodates hitch receiver heights from 16.5-28 inches, a range typical for trucks and SUV's.
The rear-mounted design frees up valuable roof space, dramatically reduces wind resistance and most importantly; provides a detachable basecamp for unrestricted adventure.
Made proudly in the USA and designed for the most brutal overlanding conditions, Hitch Tent™ is fabricated from ultra-tough, hot rolled A36 steel and CNC machined 6061-T6 Aluminum. Hitch Tent™ will accommodate most two and three-person canvas-style rooftop tents, and mounts seamlessly to a 2” hitch.

Hitch Tent Shorty Edition

Hitch Tent isn’t just for trucks anymore! Do you have a Subaru Outback? A Volkswagen Tiguan? A Polaris General? With our new, double telescoping “Shorty” legged Hitch Tent, we can accommodate a hitch receiver height as low as 10 inches from the ground! Same high-quality CNC machined 6061-T6 Aluminum, just built to accommodate a wide array of vehicles with a lower ride height. With this unique design, each corner of Hitch Tent still enjoys just under 12 inches of adjustability to level your tent on any terrain!
Although Hitch Tent Shorty Edition is built just as strong and with the same deployed weight rating of 600lbs like our Standard Addition Hitch Tent, we do recommend the use of smaller RTTs. Purely for usability behind this expanded segment of smaller vehicles, we recommend a compact RTT, like the Hutch Tents Prospector 2 (48”x 42” in travel configuration.) We also urge you to measure the distance between your taillights. If the distance between your tail light lenses is less than 48”, we recommend the purchase of our auxiliary lighting kit.

Anodizing Color Options:

The anodizing color selections are applied only to the machined components. This includes the central brackets, the hinged brackets connected to the legs and the feet. The legs and horizontal rails cannot be anodized at this time.

Additional Information:

Included with all Hitch Tent's is the Silent Hitch Pin® which removes shock loads by taking the movement out of the connection between the vehicle towing system and the device being towed. The result is quiet and stable, motionless towing.
Note: Hitch Tent™ is the platform system only and does not include a rooftop tent.

Deep dive into Linux Kernel Architecture
Format: Paperback
Have you been wanting to figure out the innards of the Linux kernel without getting overwhelmed or have been working without enough context to actually understanding it, here is a fantastic book. If you are fascinated with operating systems and new to it, if you have wondered what terms like system calls, timers, threads mean and how they are developed? This book is for you. Major subsystems and features of the Linux kernel like System calls, Memory Management, Loadable Kernel Module framework, Kernel config, Virtual Address Space, Page Cache and Kernel build(for x86 and ARM) are detailed very well in the book. The delivery through both practical and theoretical focus, can meet the expectations of both professional and academic needs. When used along with Linux kernel documentation, this book is bound to provide a deeper, well structured understanding of Linux kernel architecture. Yet to complete reading the entire book and I'm sure that it will keep me interested.

Bad book
Format: Paperback
A book that says comprehensive guide to Linux kernel should include more information about linux kernel internals with proper examples and explanation how kernel actually work and not just very high level overview of the modules building process. Don't waste your time and money. Linux device drivers book is much much better books than this one and provide way more details than this one.

Lots of good info, easy to read
Format: Paperback
Okay, I do need to disclose that I was one of the technical reviewers for this book, and that I'm also a fellow Packt Publishing author. Reviewing the book was a fun project, which I really enjoyed. There's a lot of good information here, and lots of hands-on projects for both x86_64 and Raspberry Pi. The author writes in a clear, concise, and conversational style that makes the material really easy to digest. If you have a good foundation of C programming knowledge and want to get into Linux kernel programming, you'll definitely want to check this book out.

A good book but...(update, formatting fixed)
Format: Kindle
A good book but the code in the Kindle edition is very badly formatted. The downloaded source code seems correct. Update formatting issue seems to have been fixed.
