The fest even played Soviet Russia in 1991 in what was one of the largest concerts of all time with over 1.5 million people attending. The 1988 edition featured Van Halen, with their Sammy Hagar lineup, as well as Scorpions, Dokken, Metallica, and Kingdom Come. This original Van Halen shirt, unworn in excellent condition, is from their 1988 Monsters Of Rock tour.
