PLANTING

Asclepias incarnata

Perennial, zones 3-9

Germination: 14-30 days, cold treating aids germination

Seed Planting Depth: Sow ⅛-¼” deep

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Cold treat the seed by sowing into moist soil or paper towel, wrap in a clear plastic bag, and place in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks. Provide 65-75ºF soil temperatures until germination. Transplant new seedlings into individual biodegradable peat/cow pots/paper pots. This helps reduces root damage when transplanting. Transplant around the last frost date,12-18” apart.

Sowing Outdoors: Direct sow outdoors in early spring or early fall, spacing 3-5 seeds every 12".

Spacing: 12-18”

Growth Habit:  Upright

Height and Width:  48-60” x 18-24"

Light Needs:  Full sun

Soil Needs:  Average, moist to well-drained

Approximate days to flower from seed: Blooms in the second year. May bloom the first season when started early indoors, mid to late summer thereafter.

Uses: Wildflower and cottage gardens, low wet areas, cut flower, deer resistant, low maintenance, attracts butterflies and beneficials

Care: Water seedlings regularly until established. Amend the soil with compost before transplanting. Deadheading encourages a second bloom and reduces self-seeding.

Great rubber balls to stuff with treats!
Color: Blue/Green, Size: 2 in
Fast shipping, packaged well, nice size dog balls for small dogs. Plus, non toxic for dogs. I use these balls to put different soft small treats all through the gaps. My dog loves it. It keeps my dog entertained and happy for awhile when I leave. Great balls to put treats in. 5*****

Un chewable
Color: Blue/Green, Size: 2 in
I have two grand dogs, actually three but one of them can chew most balls apart in a matter of a couple of hours I bought these balls. They’re great because the dogs can easily pick them up. They’re a little smaller for the smaller dog. I wish they made larger ones. I haven’t seen them anyway, but this dog cannot chew this apart at all, so I don’t have to worry that they’re eating any rubber or plastic. I highly recommend them.

Very sturdy chew toy
Color: Bacon
My Frenchy loves it! He’s not a large dog, but big for a French Bulldog. (32 lbs). He chews both ends, but prefers the snout. The eyes are cute, but began to peel off within the first week. I easily removed what was peeling. Half of the paint remained intact. When necessary, I will definitely replace it with the same toy.

Great chew toy, long lasting
Color: Bacon
This chew toy has been amazing. We have had it for 2 months with 2 dogs chewy on it and it is still going strong. We have a large Golden who chews on everything and and German Shepherd. Big dogs who chew aggressively. Very impressed! Would definitely buy again!
