  As a prayer plant, Setosa belongs to the Marantaceae family. It folds its leaves up during the night, which resembles praying hands. This plant is also great at purifying the indoor air and removing air pollutants.
  
  In winter or early spring, Setosa produces small white to purple flowers. These flowers grow between the leaves.
  
  
  
  
• Calathea Setosa grows best with lots of bright, indirect or filtered light but it also also tolerates medium light conditions. Harsh direct sunlight will scorch its leaves and deep shade will make this plant lose its variegated color.
  
  This plant needs regular watering to keep its soil slightly moist. Check the soil twice a week and water when the first 2 inches of the top soil is dry.
