Slender, slow-growing rarity with deeply incised pinnate leaves

Philodendron polypodioides is a published botanical name, but current taxonomic sources treat it as a synonym for Philodendron pedatum. This is a species with beautiful, slender leaves with deep incisions. This graceful houseplant is sometimes mistakenly called Philodendron tortum (and vice versa); they are indeed very similar but entirely different, both in value and rarity!

Philodendron 'polypodioides' looks like a super-slender Philodendron pedatum but never grows to the same size or width, remaining slender even as it climbs. This distinctive variety then resembles Philodendron tortum in appearance, but there are clear differences upon closer inspection: tortum grows much more compactly and less broadly than polypodioides. Furthermore, polypodioides has flatter leaves and more feather-like leaves consisting of 3 divided parts.

Philodendron polypodioides is extremely rare due to its very slow growth. Thanks to its slow and compact growth compared to other philodendrons, it is well-suited for cultivation in terrariums where it can climb along back or side walls.

Botanical description

Wild from Colombia to Brazil and northern South America, possibly also Central America. A distinct species or a normal variant within the species P. pedatum; it's a bit unclear but likely the same species.

Care

Thrives in bright, indirect light. Water when the soil has dried out slightly. Requires high humidity and well-draining soil. Provide climbing support. When kept on a windowsill (i.e., outside a terrarium), it should be fertilized occasionally. Ideal temperature 20-26°C.

Super Efficient & Pretty
Color: Warm Gold
It really is a perfect color of gold. It was super easy to use because each paper towel tears off easily. The bottom stays stable and doesn’t lean over when you tear off the sheet.

Thorough and careful research but I do disagree on some points
Format: Paperback
Review for 'When Giants Were Upon the Earth". As a Christian Bible reader of many years, I was not sure what I was getting myself into by buying and reading this book. ( I do have other books that are not part of the Bible such as Mr. Godawa mentions for reference.) Mr. Godawa has made careful and thorough research on the subject of the Nephilim which is only briefly mentioned in the Bible. He has broadened my understanding of little known facts about the giants and the pagan beliefs of other cultures. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased that a Hollywood screenwriter would do justice to the teachings of God. I do disagree with him about his ideas about satan - I believe he is an individual spirit being and the leader of the other angels that revolted in Heaven. In the New Testament we note that he is ruler of this world John 12:31, he transforms himself into an angel of light II Cor 11:14 and he is also a roaring lion 1 Peter 5:8. I am not totally finished with this book yet but I am hoping that there is information on Nimrod. I would recommend this book for Christian readers who want Bible information 'fleshed out' and explained and about the sons of God, the Nephilim etc.
