Blackberry seeds for the kitchen garden that intends to actually produce blackberry this year. The blackberry does not ask for much beyond space, support, and the understanding that you will be stained by September.

Blackberry is vigorous cane fruit producing large, glossy black berries with an intense, slightly tart flavour. Each packet is hermetically vacuum-sealed -- removing the oxygen that causes standard paper seed packets to lose germination viability within approximately one year. State law requires a 3-year viability label on sealed packaging. NASA research on hermetic seed storage indicates viability of up to 10 years under proper conditions. Every packet is non-GMO and germination-tested at independent third-party labs before it earns its Japanese woodblock print artwork.

How to Grow Blackberry from Seed

Sowing and Germination

Cold stratify 90 days. Sow in spring in rich, well-drained soil. Full sun to partial shade.

Care and Harvest

Train on supports. Fruit on second-year canes. Harvest when fully black and soft. Cut fruited canes after harvest.

Why Vacuum-Sealed Seeds Last Longer

Standard paper seed packets are permeable to oxygen and moisture -- the two primary causes of seed degradation. Most paper-packaged seeds begin losing germination viability after approximately one year, contributing to significant garden-industry waste: packets purchased, not planted, expired, discarded. Shido Seeds are hermetically vacuum-sealed. The packet does not expire quietly in a drawer. It waits.

About the Packaging

Every Shido seed packet is illustrated in the style of Japanese 1910s woodblock printing -- designed and drawn in-house by Chive, the Toronto ceramics studio that has been exhibiting at the Chelsea Flower Show in London every year and does not, as a matter of principle, sell to big-box retailers. Customers collect the packets as a series. This was not the original plan.

they are indestructible
Color: Real Bacon&Beef
these chews can definitely stand up to an aggressive chewer. they are extremely hard and will probably last for months, maybe a year or more. but because they are so indestructible, they are the last of the chew toys that my pitbull will go for. i appreciate that he will sometimes tackle one for a while. he prefers the hardest rubber kong-type chew toys. they are not indestructible, but it takes a while for him to wear them down and destroy them. i will probably not buy these indestructible chews again (bought 2-3 packages already), but if you have a big headed dog with lots of really strong teeth and jaws like a vice, they might be right for your pet.

My dog loves them
Color: Real Bacon&Beef, Color: Real Bacon&Beef
Got yesterday, and my dog already did some damage to them; however it isn't enough damage to make the toys unsafe and unusable. So far they have lasted longer than any of her other toys (a full 24 hours already). So when the time comes that she needs some new toys, we are definitely going to be purchasing these again, she loves them.

These are adorable
Color: Coffe Wood, Color: Coffe Wood
This little frozen treat kit is absolutely adorable. I found 3 different colors for my 3 dogs, so I can tell who got theirs stolen. First, the kit itself is a 5 star. The little skull, the brain mold, absolutely adorable. Second, as with a lot of other reviews, what is up with the rope? I had hoped there was a cover for that part of the skull heads when I bought them, then I double checked the reviews and could have had a V8. 🤦🏼‍♀️ the good news is that once you get the rope off you can replace it with something more washable, if you choose. Rope is a 2 to 3 star. Third, my dogs don't like these ones as much, that's why the 3 stars. They've tried out 3 different kinds, with a 4th one coming this week. This was their 3rd favorite. They like the ability to carry it by the rope. Getting to the treat through the hole in the bottom isn't "hard", but the skull is tilted on the side, which is exactly what you want to keep your dog entertained, but two of my dogs didn't want to deal with it unless I held it for them. 😒 Dramatic. Fourth, and finally, I am keeping them. I will probably not put frozen treats in them again, and use it for dry treats or something. So, 3 to 4 stars since I probably won't be able to use the mold for these unless the dogs get used to them. These little skills have more of a rubber texture to them, making them not really hard plastic, and seemingly more durable. The top, so far, is easy to take off, if you don't have wet hands. There's little divets in the top to help you screw and unscrew thw top. Be careful not to screw it on too tight or too loose. I would take it away from my dogs as soon as I notice they are done with their treats, as I would with dirty dishes. It isn't a toy-toy, more like a treat dispenser.
