Details

Echeveria Black Prince is classic succulent that is the perfect plant for fans of dark foliage. This plant grows dark green leaves that have the ability to appear completely black when given enough direct sunlight.

Fun Fact

The more sun it receives, the darker the foliage becomes. In the fall/winter when there is less sunlight, this plant will likely revert back to its natural green colour. Not to worry, once spring/summer come around the dark foliage will return as well. Alternatively, if you wish to keep the foliage dark all year round, you can place the plant under grow lights during winter months.

Care Tips:

- Plant in well-draining, porous succulent soil.

- Will do best if planted in a pot with a drainage hole.

- Provide plenty of bright to direct sunlight to help this plant stay colourful and compact.

- Water infrequently. This plant likes to dry out completely in between waterings so only water when the soil is bone-dry. Succulents are drought tolerant. It is safer to under water than over water.

I was happy to discover Merwin's poetry.
Format: Paperback
Great collection of some of Merwin's early poetry. There's a mystical mysterious feel too a lot of his writing, which I like.

A Reading of "The Last One"
Format: Paperback
This poem represents Merwin at his insidious best, the conversational tone of the poem slowly leading to something imminently and undefinably dark, doom-laden. The poem was originally published in "The Lice" a book of poems written in the French countryside where, Merwin says, "I felt at once a profound attraction to the rural world in which I was living and a disquieting recognition of the fragility and uncertainty of my relation to it." "The Last One" ominously conveys that disquiet.
