The Schefflera indoor bonsai tree is a beautiful and easy-to-care-for plant that is perfect for bringing a touch of nature into your home. This small tree is native to the tropical regions of Southeast Asia, including China and Taiwan, and is commonly found in the wild growing in forests and on mountainsides.

The Schefflera bonsai tree is known for its unique and intricate leaves, which are divided into seven or more leaflets that are arranged like fingers on a hand. The tree can grow up to 15 feet tall in the wild, but as a bonsai, it can be styled to stay much smaller, making it a perfect addition to any indoor space.

To care for your Schefflera bonsai tree, it's important to keep it in a bright, well-lit area of your home but out of direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. Water the tree when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, and make sure the pot has adequate drainage to prevent overwatering.

To style a beautiful small bonsai in your home, you can use pruning shears to shape the tree's branches and foliage. Start by removing any dead or damaged branches, and then trim back any long or unruly branches to create a more compact shape. You can also wire the branches to create a more stylized form, but be careful not to damage the bark.

Overall, the Schefflera bonsai tree is a wonderful choice for anyone looking to bring the beauty and tranquility of nature into their home. With proper care and maintenance, this unique and exotic plant can provide years of enjoyment and relaxation.

How to Grow and Care For Schefflera or Umbrella Plant

This plant is easy to care for. Follow our simple instructions below and you will have years of growth.

Where should I put this plant?

Umbrella plants can tolerate bright but indirect light, not full sun. They will also thrive in low light.  Schefflera is easy: cold or warm rooms, plenty or little light, anything goes really.

How much should I water it?

Water only when the top 2 inches of soil are dry to the touch.  Soak through and leave to drain, then allow to dry out before watering again.

This plant loves being dusted, the simplest and easiest way is to give it a shower once a month and it will thrive!

Should I feed it?

You can feed once a month during spring and summer with liquid plant food. Try our vegan, organic plant food.

When developing our original Happy Houseplants’ Organic Tropical Plant Food, we decided not to tinker with it too much, so you'll find no chemical supplements in this 100% cruelty-free vegan product. Our indoor plant fertiliser is handmade on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in Devon, exclusively for Happy Houseplants, and has been developed by the team at Happy Houseplants and expert horticulturists with decades of experience. Many people struggle to understand how to feed houseplants, but our original vegan plant food has been designed to make feeding houseplants simple.

Our organic indoor plant food is made from Seaweed, harvested sustainably. Seaweed provides a delicate blend of growth hormones and micronutrients that is perfect for all indoor plants. Houseplants grow throughout spring, summer and autumn, so they will benefit from organic fertiliser during this time to encourage flowering and keep them healthy and well.

Quality research and intriguing storytelling
Format: Kindle
This is quite a story. While it requires some in depth explanation of technologies, the heart of the book focuses on cyber crime investigations, the business and economic impact of crypto currency and a slew of interesting personalities.

Really enjoyable read on following cryptocurrency and how it happened
Format: Hardcover
Andy Greenberg is a GREAT storyteller and podcaster. Anything he writes is a must read. Tracers in the Dark was a super enjoyable, easy read. He covers, using people and stories, the basics of bitcoin and the people who try to follow the money to catch cybercriminals. I knew most (but not all) of the people and stories he covered, but Greenberg added a ton of detail I didn't know. He added timelines and color that fleshed out what happened, in each story and the overall timeline. It's a great, easy, read and I'm a better cybersecurity defender for having read it. Although don't read it for any super technical details. You're not going to learn the details of blockchain, bitcoin, or blockchain analysis...only how it's done, generally, and the people involved.

Entertaining and frightening
Format: Hardcover
Incredible job taking these real life stories and situations and writing them in such a captivating way that really draws the reader in. As fascinating as the forensic aspect of the dark web activities and investigations are, there were some very disturbing and dark areas that the book justifiably went at some readers may find very uncomfortable so just be ready for that

An eye-opener for those that believe the dark web and cryptocurrency are anonymous
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
The author, Andy Greenberg, takes the reader through a series of actual whodunit cases where the blockchain is used to trace illicit transactions on the dark web. From corrupt FBI agents to drug sales on the Silk Road, culprits are rooted out by following cryptocurrency through the blockchain. Each case is different and often involves an international game of cat and mouse. In addition, the author discusses some of the ethical issues surrounding an anonymous currency. Most readers will find this book an easy and engaging read, even if they are not familiar with the blockchain.
