Lavandula angustifolia, commonly known as English Lavender or True Lavender, is a beloved and fragrant perennial herb in the Lamiaceae family. Native to the Mediterranean region, this enchanting plant is cherished for its aromatic foliage, beautiful flowers, and diverse culinary, medicinal, and ornamental uses. Here's a description of Lavandula angustifolia:

Foliage: The most distinctive feature of Lavandula angustifolia is its narrow and silvery-green leaves, which are densely arranged along woody stems. The foliage has a delightful fragrance, releasing a calming and soothing scent when touched or brushed against.

Flowers: Lavender produces lovely and aromatic flower spikes that rise above the foliage. The flowers are composed of numerous tiny lavender-colored or purple blossoms, forming a beautiful and eye-catching display.

Blooming Season: English Lavender typically blooms from late spring to early summer, with some varieties having a second, less prominent bloom in the late summer or early fall. The blooming period may vary depending on the climate and growing conditions.

Growth Habit: Lavandula angustifolia is a small to medium-sized shrub, reaching a height of about 1 to 3 feet (0.3 to 0.9 meters) and spreading about 2 to 4 feet (0.6 to 1.2 meters) wide. Its growth habit is compact and bushy, creating an attractive and well-groomed appearance.

Fragrance: The characteristic fragrance of English Lavender is what sets it apart. The aromatic oils in the leaves and flowers give off a pleasant, calming, and aromatic scent, making it a popular choice for potpourri, essential oils, and sachets.

Culinary and Medicinal Uses: Lavandula angustifolia has a long history of culinary and medicinal applications. The flowers and leaves are used in various culinary recipes, adding a delicate floral flavor to dishes and desserts. Lavender is also valued for its medicinal properties, such as its calming effects and potential benefits for relaxation and sleep.

Landscape Use: English Lavender is a versatile and ornamental plant, making it an excellent choice for gardens, borders, and containers. Its beautiful flowers and fragrance make it a favorite among gardeners and beekeepers, as it attracts bees and other pollinators.

Poorly written, but possibly best of all the garbage available today.
Format: Paperback
E&E's (including torts) are of questionable value except as an introduction to ideas and terms. The actual examples and explanations are at times self-contradictory, especially regarding the certainty of the authors in how a court would rule. I would not recommend these books to anyone going to law school if there were something better available. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with anything better at this point. Read the whole first-year series before law school if you can't find a better series.

I don't understand the Hype.
Format: Paperback
Everyone seems to love Glannon but I found other E&Es to me much straightforward and easy to understand. Don't know what it is about Glannon's writing. Not terrible, just not conducive to me for whatever reason. Negligence sections were lacking.

Came used with dirty pages
Format: Paperback
The book clearly is not new, the pages are folded over and dirty with dirt. There is a sticky residue on the back cover of the book. Really gross.
