Good — a complete picture. A. friedrichsthalii is native to Guatemala through Colombia at sea level to approximately 800m, a compact pendant strap-leaf species with notably darker, glossier, and more narrow leaves than vittarifolium or pallidiflorum, with a very pronounced midrib and long petioles that give the gracefully arching stems their distinctive character. One of the faster-growing and more adaptable pendant anthuriums — notably more tolerant of average household conditions than many in its group.

Anthurium Friedrichsthalii

A pendant strap-leaf anthurium native to the humid lowland and premontane forests of Central America and northern South America — ranging from Guatemala through Panama and into Colombia at elevations from sea level to approximately 800 meters — and one of the most accessible and rewarding members of its informal group for collectors who want the elegant pendant strap-leaf character without the strict high-humidity demands of some of its more temperamental relatives. Within the pendant anthurium group, A. friedrichsthalii occupies a distinctive position defined by its leaf quality: notably darker, more deeply saturated, and more glossy than vittarifolium or gladiifolium, with a thick, almost leathery, firm leaf texture and a very pronounced, prominently raised midrib that runs the full length of the narrow blade and creates a clean visual line down each leaf. The leaves themselves are more narrow and strap-like than pallidiflorum, with long petioles that give the plant its characteristic gracefully arching and cascading stem habit — the combination of long petioles, narrow leaves, and pendant growth creating an elegant, flowing display that performs beautifully from a hanging basket or elevated shelf. More compact than vittarifolium — leaves typically reaching 18 inches to occasionally longer under ideal conditions rather than the multiple-foot lengths of the largest pendant species — and notably vigorous for its group, earning a reputation as one of the faster-growing pendant anthuriums available and considerably more tolerant of average household humidity than many of its relatives.

An elevated or hanging position is strongly preferred to allow the pendant leaves and gracefully arching stems to cascade freely to their full length. Provide medium to bright indirect light — the species is relatively adaptable across a reasonable light range and tolerates somewhat lower light better than many collector anthuriums. Keep the medium consistently but lightly moist in an open, chunky epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir; allow the top inch to approach dryness between waterings. Humidity of 60-70% is ideal though the species is reported to tolerate average household humidity better than most pendant anthuriums. Maintain warm temperatures between 65-80°F. Toxic to humans and pets if ingested.

Great stuff.
Style: Tropical Coconut
No weird smell or greasy residue, feels great on the skin. Tried it while on vacation (friend's lotion), and bought some when I got home. It is my go to now.

Great value, excellent product!!!!!
Scent: Mango & Hibiscus, Size: 12 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This is the best shampoo I’ve ever used. No joke. . I used to spend $42 per bottle of Pureology Hydrate Sheer for years. One day I forgot to bring shampoo when I travelled and considering I am allergic to most shampoos since I was a child, I went to Whole Foods Market and bought this, as I already use the excellent Babo 50 SPF sunscreen. . That was over 4 years ago and I’ve bought this on repeat. Just bought 2 more bottles because I fear they stop making this. . The package is a little quirky. So I put it in a reusable pretty bottle in my shower. . My hair is ash blonde, baby fine and highlighted, about shoulder length. This shampoo is safe for daily use, it is lightly scented with a very faint mango/flower scent that is barely there after you rinse it. . I’ve experience no build up. Before using this, when I was using Pureology, I had to use a clarifying shampoo once a week, otherwise my hair felt like greasy straws. . Since using this shampoo, I no longer have to do that. My hair is clean, soft, can’t understand the volume and shine after I use this. . My $200 per haircut hair stylist kept paying me compliments, thinking I’ve upped my hair routine with masks, heat protecting spray and all the nonsense. NOPE. I just wash with this shampoo. . Ps- sometimes I use Babo’s Baobab & Rosehip Conditioner in the light peachy pink container, sometimes I use another conditioner. Regardless, I’d pay twice as much for this shampoo. . Exceptional.!

Color-treated hair that looks fabulous!
Scent: Mango & Hibiscus, Size: 12 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I received a small sample of this shampoo as part of a Whole Foods 12 Days of Beauty holiday promotion. Normally those boxes are loaded with third-rate products the store is trying to promote. Well, not this time. I was desperate to find a shampoo that would clean my color-treated but very, very fine hair without stripping the color or weighing it down with far too much moisture - bordering on greasy. This shampoo has really been a game changer for me (going grey or shaving my head were considerations). It gently cleans my hair (and scalp) with no down-side results, and smells divine. My hair looks healthy & fluffy (no greasiness!) all day long and even into the following day. Added bonus - genuine shine. I must add that I have pretty short hair so I honestly don’t need much to clean me up, although I do wash it daily. The amount in the carton is smaller than a lot of brands out there but, in my situation, I feel I am getting value for my money. My expensive dye-job looks awesome every single day - so you’ve gotta weigh your choices. It’s working well for me and it just might be a solution for you but you won’t know unless you try it.

Nourishing mango & hibiscus - LOVE!!
Scent: Mango & Hibiscus, Size: 12 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I was looking for a clean nontoxic alternative to my usually shampoo and conditioner. I’ve alternated around between the expensive salon-grade and Sephora products for the past 10 years. I thought I’d give Babo’s new shampoo and conditioner a try because I love the body wash. I love this stuff! It makes my hair so clean and soft. For reference, my hair type is straight and fine, but I have a lot of hair. I’m brunette and haven’t colored it in over a year. I noticed the shampoo doesn’t foam up as much as other shampoos I use, but my hair still comes out clean and I can usually go 5 days between shampooing again (I double shampoo my roots which helps). I also noticed the conditioner is a little more on the milkier/thinner side, which makes sense for the products to have more flow to them because they are in cartons meant to pour. I still use my usual leave-in conditioner spray and some hair oil after I wash and it all works great together. Overall I love the shampoo + conditioner, they smell great, they cost less than my usual products and they’re clean ingredients so it’s a win win. Worth a try!
