The world of boots hasn’t just been underwhelming: it’s vast and confusing, too. But when you’re introduced to a pair of real good boots — the kind that you can take to a cobbler and keep wearing for decades — we believe that can be a game-changer.

Our goal was to make a boot in the traditional way—not as they were made 50 years ago, but as they were made 100 years ago.

Leather

Our Heritage Boots are crafted with USA Horween Leather, sourced directly from the tannery in Chicago. Chromexcel leather was developed a century ago and it was made specifically for boots. It’s a high-quality leather, hot-stuffed with oils and waxes, making it highly weather-resistant. You can wear these boots in rain or snow, and they’ll hold up beautifully. Chromexcel leather is also exceptionally soft, allowing for a quick and comfortable break-in period.

Construction

The construction of our boots follows the time-tested method of Goodyear welting, which dates back over 100 years. With Goodyear welting, the space inside the sole is filled with hot cork after stitching, which allows it to mold to your foot, creating a custom, comfortable fit. Goodyear-welted boots are rare in today’s market because the method is costly and time-consuming, but it's the best for construction and we wanted to craft the best pair of boots.

Our boots also feature a Dainite sole, a heritage sole known for its exceptional quality. It offers the performance of a rugged work boot without an overly rugged look.

Portugal

We’re producing our boots in Portugal, where footwear craftsmanship has been honed over centuries. Many of the bootmakers are fourth and fifth generation artisans, working with machines that are over 100 years old. Ultimately, if we were going to make a boot like this, the only concern is that we're doing it at a place that can do the best job. Portugal is top in the world in boot and shoe construction.

Style

We decided on the Heritage boot for its practical versatility and enduring design. Leather wrapping from heel to toe, and heavy stitching with lace up speed hooks, this boot is made for everyday wear. We opted for an almond-shaped toe box, blending the rounded look of American work boots with the pointed shape of European styles. This design gives the boot a slightly more formal look without being overly trendy.

Sizing

True-to-size: We recommend selecting your true shoe size, as measured on a Brannock Device. You can find one of these in our three retail stores, or nearly any store that sells men’s footwear. If you have a standard size in dress shoes, that will likely align. Tennis shoe sizes are not a reliable sizing mechanism and can vary significantly.

If you have a narrower foot, consider going down one-half to one full size.

Your boots will have a snug fit initially- the leather will stretch slightly with wear, molding to your feet in time.

Re-crafting and Re-soling

We're proud to offer re-crafting and re-soling services for all of our boots. It's our commitment to ensuring the longevity of every pair we make. If you wear the heck out of them and need them re-soled, simply email [email protected] to get started.

Since the early days of Clayton & Crume, we’ve dreamt of creating the perfect pair of great boots. For the better part of a decade, our team has put in countless hours of careful craft to ensure exceptional quality from heel to toe. We hope you enjoy your new boots.

Good product
Let me tell you just how much I love this can opener. I am 80 yrs old and the hand opener was becoming a real challenge to use, this is sooooooo easy, holds it's charge for a long time and the lids don't have any rough edges. Great product for an excellent price.

It worked on all size of cans
Eh pretty good for the whopping 3 weeks I had it. Came home one day and it was broken. It still operated. As in all functions were there but it wouldn't latch onto cans anymore. I think one of my adult kids dropped it. Honestly surprised motor still operated after it's drop.

Didn't work out for me after a few uses.
Broke after only like 5 uses...not worth the money. Doesn't stay sharp nor does it auto-clamp onto cans after such uses. Thought it worked only to find out it didn't cut the can and left little metal shavings from just kinda "scratching" the can and I ended up getting a splinter. Thought it was low on battery and fully charged only for it to keep not cutting the can. Trashed it just gonna buy a regular stand up from walmart or something.

Easy to use without any effort
Color: Orange
Needed a small space electric opener to help with opening cans due to arthritis. Manual ones were difficult to use. This fits in the palm of your hand and is easy to attach to can. It opens regular size cans easily, although it is a bit slow. The one can it didn't work well on was Fancy Feast Cat Food cans. Seems to leave a sliver of metal on the edge, very tiny but of concern. Contacted customer service and they were excellent - quick responses and very helpful at working with me to see if it was just the fancy feast can or the opener. Seems that those two just don't work well together. They even sent me a second opener so that we could try to recreate the problem. I am keeping the original opener and returning the second one as neither will open the Fancy Feast can. They supplied a return label also. There are lots of cans in the world and this is just a minor function situation with this opener. I think it is a great product.
