Back silk panel over sheer bodice for modesty. Ruched at hips with wide band, snaps in back indicate there was likely a back piece that attached. Dress snaps and hooks shut at left

Early 1900s Edwardian hand made black silk dress with silk lace overlay, sleeves. Long silk fringe on hem of top layer of skirt and sleeves. Some discoloration to silk under arms as shown, some small holes in lace on upper arms. An incredible and complex formal dress.
